Business Branding.

Narrative story telling for your company

As an impact business are you telling your story with the right kind of images that pull out the values that you hold important as a company?

Using the right kind of images is super important for companies to highlight what impact you are making in the world and also take the viewer through a journey so that by the end they have an understanding of your business, feel related to your offerings, your service and team, and are engaged and excited to continue on their journey of engaging with and being a part of your business.

Melanie Ewan

Melanie is an advisor, teacher, writer and speaker.

Brief: One of the key elements that Melanie wanted the images to represent for her new website was the importance of self-expression and finding your own voice through verbal language and body language - she does public speaking work with youth and spoke about opening their eyes towards bringing your own colourful character to presentations. It's ok - it's great! to dance and be lively as a public speaker. She grew up in North Vancouver and so capturing elements of the mountains and sea were important too.

Creating personalised visual content is:

  • A vital piece of showcasing your brand and creating relatability, or the know like trust factor for your potential clients.

  • One of the best ways to create a professional, slick and consistent branding experience / tone of voice (or should that be tone of eye?).

  • Something you can use across all areas of your business marketing including your website, social media platforms and newsletters.

  • Yours to use powerfully - your images can take people with you on your business journey from start to finish and pull out each of the pieces that make your business unique. Images can highlight new projects, services and offerings. They can give people insight into the people on your team and the values that you uphold as a business.

  • Well, it’s FAR more relatable and connective than using stock images, right!

The process:

Step 1: 45 minute discovery call. Let’s get related - I want to learn about you, your business goals, your mission, your values, and your why so we can distinguish the stories to tell with photography.

Step 2: I’ll put together a photography brief outlining our call and create an outline of the time that we’ll spend together.

Step 3: You’ll receive a curated shot list so that we can be laser focussed on what we're out to achieve on the day. Feedback, additions and amendments welcome.

Step 4: 1-2 weeks out from the shoot - check in and plan for anything that needs to be taken care of before the day (eg props, clothes, location finalising)

Step 5: Shoot day!

Step 6: High res & web ready images delivered via online private gallery

Kind Words

“Maxine was an absolute pleasure to work with! Her ability to capture our products, team, and commercial space was exactly what we were looking for. She did a great job of translating our brand to print and the pictures were bright and inviting, just as we had hoped for. The whole process was smooth and efficient and we’re thrilled with the final result. We can’t wait for our next shoot with her!”

Kind Words

“Maxine came alongside the Korle-Bu Foundation to help us tell the story of the life-changing impact that volunteers can make even with a day or 2 of their time. She captured the joy, hard work, and heart expressed by the people who spend half their weekend sending supplies to hospitals thousands of miles away. It was a privilege to work with her and the images she took powerfully communicate how lives are saved through the work Korle-Bu does."
